Frequently asked questions
- Do I need separate accounts for singing and directing?
- No. One account does both. Add your voice parts and bookable cities to appear in singer searches, and create a booking whenever you want to act as a director.
- What happens if I accept an event and then need to withdraw?
- You can withdraw from any accepted event from your dashboard. Auto-invites immediately continue to the next available singer for that part.
- What does 'discoverable' mean?
- When your profile is discoverable, directors can find you in singer searches and send you invitations. If you turn off discoverability, your profile is hidden and you won't receive any invitations.
- How do I report a fake account?
- Email admin@mydeps.co.uk with the profile name and any details you can share. We'll investigate and take appropriate action.
- How do I change my email address?
- For now, turn off discoverability in your profile settings, then create a new account with your new email. We're working on a direct email-change option.
- How does the auto-advance timer work?
- When you create a booking, singers in your first priority tier are notified. If you don't have enough acceptances, the system automatically moves to the next tier after the wait time you set (default 24 hours). A live countdown on the booking page shows when the next tier will be contacted, and you can pause the timer at any time to hold off on contacting more singers. You can also adjust the wait between tiers or advance manually whenever you like.
- I cancelled an event by mistake. Can I uncancel it?
- Once an event is cancelled it can't be reinstated. You can recreate the event or booking with the same details and reinvite the singers you need.
